The ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll is a public opinion research initiative presented by ReconMR, Siena Research Institute (SRI), and the Texas A&M University Bush School of Government & Public Service.
Our mission is to provide credible, nonpartisan polling and public opinion research that reflects the voices and perspectives of Texans across the state.
The ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll combines decades of survey research expertise, rigorous methodology, and advanced data collection operations to deliver high-quality public polling that informs public conversation and decision-making.
Built on the same nonpartisan standards and research rigor that made the New York Times/Siena Poll one of the most trusted and highly ranked polls in America, the ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll provides regular, reliable snapshots of public opinion across Texas, including demographic, geographic, and voter subgroup analysis.

The ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll is designed to help journalists, policymakers, organizations, and the public better understand the attitudes, concerns, and priorities of Texans.
Research Methodology
The ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll seeks to establish the ‘gold-standard’ of consistent polling in Texas. Drawing from its Siena Research Institute’s Siena New York Poll as well as the New York Times Siena Polls, the ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll uses rigorous, design, sampling and data collection methods to ensure accurate, reliable and transparent results.
Through the November 2026 election, the ReconMR/A&M Texas Poll will interview a representative sample of Texas likely voters drawn from L-2’s database of registered voters. All interviews are conducted via telephone by trained professional live agents.
In order ensure representativeness and curtail the design effect of weighting the sample is stratified by and drawn to promote participation by region, age, gender, education and vote history. Final weighting not only iteratively uses known demographics including region, age, gender, race/ethnicity and vote history but includes a blending of computed and stated vote likelihood.
